Jakarta, February 28, 2017 – Today, the Teluk Seribu Tourist Village in Manggar Baru sub-district, Balikpapan city, was inaugurated by officials from the Balikpapan City Government (PemKot) and the Deputy Marketing Director of Avian Brands. The inauguration was carried out by Balikpapan mayor Rizal Effendi, accompanied by Oemy Facessly, head of the Balikpapan Youth, Sports and Tourism Agency (Disporapar), and also Feonaldi Indrawan, Deputy Marketing Director of Avian Brands.
With the establishment of this village, Balikpapan City now has a new tourist area for both local and international tourists to hunt for selfie photos. The colorful beauty of the residents' houses has attracted many people to visit it. In his speech, Rizal Effendi expressed his deepest gratitude and appreciation to Avian Brands for transforming this area into the Teluk Seribu Colorful Tourist Village.
“The implementation of creativity, such as in the Teluk Seribu Colorful Village, can have a positive impact, not only on economic growth but also by bringing a positive trend for tourism development in Balikpapan, thus accelerating the achievement of sustainable tourism development," said Rizal Effendi.
Tourism development is also expected to accelerate the growth of economic centers by exploring local potential and advantages. This is because by basing it on local potential as a strength and fundamental identity, it can effectively increase added value and regional competitiveness.
Therefore, its development must be understood holistically and not just as branding, but as an approach to sustainable tourism area development. Meanwhile, Feonaldi said, "Through this CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activity, we hope that the existence of the Teluk Seribu Colorful Village can improve the residents' economy. We also hope that this village will maintain its beauty and cleanliness," said Feonaldi. He added that through this CSR activity, Avian Brands, as a national paint producer, is becoming closer to the Indonesian people to jointly provide more value to the homeland.
This was also affirmed by the Head of Balikpapan Disporapar, Oemy Facessly, “The immense tourism potential of Teluk Seribu is very much realized; I see this area has potential tourism value, everything is already here. This area also has strong local wisdom. It just depends on how we process it into a new tourist destination,” she stated during the inauguration of the Teluk Seribu village tourism.
