Surabaya, April 10, 2025 – PT Avia Avian Tbk ("AVIA" or "Avian Brands"), a leading decorative paint manufacturer in Indonesia, has held its Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) and Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB) today in Surabaya. The meeting resulted in a number of strategic decisions, including the distribution of cash dividends, the implementation of a share buyback program, and the appointment of independent board of commissioners members.
As a form of commitment to shareholders, the RUPST approved the distribution of a Cash Dividend of Rp1.33 Trillion. The dividend value is equivalent to Rp 22 per share. This dividend reflects a dividend payout ratio of 80.41% of the net profit for the 2024 fiscal year, which was recorded at Rp 1.66 trillion with a net profit margin of 22.3%. This cash dividend amount has taken into account an interim dividend of Rp 672 billion that was distributed in November 2024. With a dividend payout ratio reaching 80.41%, AVIA once again demonstrates its commitment to providing additional value to shareholders, well above the minimum dividend policy of 50% of net profit.
In addition to the dividend, the RUPSLB also approved a share buyback program with a total fund allocation of Rp 1 trillion. Previously, AVIA had carried out a buyback program that started in December 2023, with a maximum of 1.425 billion shares and a total fund allocation of Rp 1 trillion. This buyback program was completed in February 2025 with the maximum number of shares that could be repurchased being achieved. The implementation of this additional buyback reflects management's confidence in Avian Brands' business fundamentals and long-term prospects, and is expected to further increase investor confidence.
In other agendas, shareholders also approved the appointment of Oscar Wezenbeek as an independent Commissioner in the Board of Commissioners. With over 34 years of experience in the paint industry and various strategic leadership positions, his presence is expected to strengthen corporate governance and provide strategic insights into the future business development of Avian Brands.
As a leader in the decorative paint market in Indonesia, Avian Brands continues to strengthen its position through sustainable product innovation, expansion of its distribution network, as well as excellent services and loyalty programs for its customers. With a strategy focused on sustainable growth, AVIA is optimistic that it can continue to create solid growth opportunities in the future.
