AVIA Achieves Sales of IDR 3.621 Trillion Amidst Economic Challenges

Surabaya, 01 August 2024 – PT Avia Avian Tbk (“AVIA”), the only paint manufacturer issuer in Indonesia integrated from upstream to downstream, announced its financial performance for the first half of 2024. Despite facing challenging economic conditions and weakened public purchasing power, AVIA successfully recorded total consolidated sales of Rp 3.621 trillion. This achievement demonstrates the Company's resilience and business strategy effectiveness.

Supported by more than 8,000 highly dedicated employees, AVIA continues to strengthen its position as the market leader in decorative paints in Indonesia. In the first half of this year, AVIA also recorded solid bottom-line performance with a gross profit margin of 45.0%, an EBITDA margin of 27.7%, and a net profit margin of 22.3%.

Throughout 2024, AVIA consistently implemented various strategies by leveraging the Company's competitive advantages to win market share from other paint companies, especially amidst difficult market conditions. These competitive advantages are diverse, ranging from innovation capabilities supported by a reliable Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) team, vertical integration capabilities, a distribution network spread from Sabang to Merauke, and effective and extensive marketing strategies reaching all segments of society.

By the end of the first half, AVIA had 123 self-owned distribution centers, supported by 15 mini distribution centers and 39 third-party distribution centers. Having an extensive distribution network covering all regions of Indonesia, has differentiated AVIA from its competitors, primarily in terms of the quality of services provided.

Currently, AVIA serves more than 57 thousand building material stores in various regions of Indonesia. AVIA is capable of express delivery, which is the delivery of goods within approximately 2 hours after an order is placed. This service is an elevation of the one-day delivery service that the Company has long implemented. This superior service quality, combined with various strategic marketing activities, has helped the Company build strong relationships between AVIA and building material stores.

Going forward, AVIA will continue to focus on operational development to achieve sustainable business growth in the long term. The Company will continue to innovate and drive efficiency to increase market share and maintain its position as the market leader in decorative paints in Indonesia.
