He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from University of Wisconsin, Madison, United States, in 1994 and Bachelor degree in Accounting and Diploma IV from Sekolah Tinggi Akuntansi Negara (STAN), higher education institution managed by the Ministry of Finance, in 1990. He holds several professional certifications, namely CA from IAI, CPA from IAPI, ASEAN CPA, as well as CPA and FCPA from CPA Australia.
