The painting of 100 fishing boats was once again carried out by Avian Brands as part of the Petik Laut (Sea Harvest) event in Jember. The event, held on August 3, 2023, in Puger Kulon Village, Puger District, Jember Regency, East Java, received a positive response from local community leaders and volunteers.
Avian Brands Peduli provided assistance in the form of 630 kg of Avian Wood and Iron Paint and 73 original Avian Thinner B, which were distributed to paint 100 fishing boats in Puger Kulon Village. This assistance was directly received by members of the local fishing community.
“On behalf of the fishermen here, I would like to thank Avian Brands for their participation in enlivening the Petik Laut event in Puger Kulon. Alhamdulillah, thanks to the support from Avian Brands, my friends and I are proud to be able to paint our boats so they look new again,” said a fisherman's representative.
The volunteers involved in this boat painting activity expressed their satisfaction using Avian Brands' wood and iron paint products. “The paint dries quickly, looks glossy, and is durable. Hopefully, Avian Brands can continue to improve the quality of its products and contribute to the community,” said a volunteer encountered during the activity.
The Petik Laut event, which involved painting 100 fishing boats, was held as part of a thanksgiving ceremony for the community of Puger Kulon Village, so that they would continue to be given ease and avoided from danger while seeking livelihood at sea. Avian Brands supports efforts to rejuvenate fishing boats as a form of support for coastal communities who mostly depend on the sea for their livelihoods.
Puger Kulon Village is one of the recipients of boat painting assistance from Avian Brands Peduli. This Avian Brands CSR program focuses on improving the living standards of Indonesian communities through contributions in education, environment, and disaster response actions.
