Sidoarjo, August 29, 2025 - PT Avia Avian Tbk (Avian Brands) once again affirmed its commitment to sustainable business principles by updating the company's Sustainability Policy. This enhancement is a strategic step to strengthen a more structured, measurable, and nationally and internationally aligned sustainability management system (ESG).
The latest sustainability policy reflects the company's enhanced commitment to broader and deeper ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) issues, including:
- Long-term commitment to sustainable business practices,
- Strengthening the environmental supply chain, by promoting environmentally friendly practices throughout the entire supply chain,
- Enforcement of the social supply chain, through the protection of human rights, fair working conditions, and compliance with labor standards,
- Full rejection of animal testing, without exception,
- And political neutrality, by not providing support to any political party or candidate.
Ruslan Tanoko, Vice President Director of Avian Brands, stated that this policy is not merely a formal document, but a strategic foundation for a more structured and impactful sustainability transformation. “We believe that sustainability must be a system, not a slogan. With this new policy, we strengthen the integrity and accountability of our entire value chain,” said the Avian Brands management representative.
As part of system strengthening, Avian Brands developed a Sustainability Management System (SMS) as a strategic framework to manage all aspects of sustainability in an integrated and continuous manner. This system not only functions as a monitoring tool but also as a responsive and data-driven decision-making mechanism.
This SMS includes:
- Monthly reporting of sustainability performance to Top Management (Board of Directors and Executive Leadership), to ensure transparency, accountability, and timely decision-making.
- Creation and management of a sustainability performance database with clearly designated Persons-In-Charge (PIC) in each work unit, to ensure cross-departmental involvement and consistency in reporting.
- Implementation of a structured “Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA)” management cycle, so that every sustainability program runs according to plan, can be evaluated periodically, and followed up for continuous improvement.
- Cross-functional integration to synergize sustainability initiatives with core business processes, ranging from Research Development and Innovation, production, supply chain, marketing, to HR development and CSR.
Through the development of this system, Avian Brands ensures that sustainability is not just carried out as an additional initiative but becomes an integral part of the company's culture and long-term business strategy. This step also strengthens the company's position in responding to stakeholder demands, including investors, ESG rating agencies, and regulators.
