Sidoarjo, 31 October 2025 – As a form of commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), Avian Brands continues to strive to provide positive and sustainable impacts for the surrounding community. Through its CSR programs implemented in Wadungasih Village, Sidoarjo, and Wotan Village, Gresik, the company focuses on community economic empowerment, the formation of cooperative institutions, and improving access to clean water for residents.

All these programs are carried out with reference to the ISO 26000 SR-based Community Development policy, which emphasizes principles of transparent, inclusive, participatory governance, and a focus on social and economic sustainability. With this approach, Avian Brands ensures that every CSR initiative aligns with sustainable development goals and genuinely addresses community needs.

According to Robert Christian Tanoko, Director of Operations & Development at Avian Brands, this CSR program is a tangible reflection of the company's values in contributing to the sustainable social and economic development of the community.

“For us, social responsibility is not merely a philanthropic and charitable activity, but an integral part of a sustainable business strategy. Through this ISO 26000-based CSR program, Avian Brands strives to create a real impact by empowering communities to be more independent, strengthening local economies, and providing access to basic infrastructure such as clean water that supports their quality of life,” said Robert Christian Tanoko.

MSME Empowerment and New Group Formation

In Wadungasih Village, Avian Brands facilitated the provision of production equipment to support the business activities of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The procurement process was carried out transparently involving stakeholders and the village government. Furthermore, Avian Brands also scaled up beneficiaries by forming new groups from members of the Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) who now produce various snack products with innovative packaging designs.

Formation of Cooperatives as a Legacy of Fostered MSMEs

Two MSMEs fostered by Avian Brands, namely ECO and SIIIP, successfully established official cooperatives with representatives from each RW (Community Unit) as members. Avian Brands also assisted with the issuance of NIB (Business Identification Number) and NPWP (Taxpayer Identification Number) for members and the cooperative, and facilitated the opening of savings accounts to support transparent and orderly financial transactions.

Training and Business Capacity Building

As part of its local economic strengthening strategy, Avian Brands conducted training for 30 participants consisting of fostered MSME actors, BUMDes, and home-based businesses. This training covered Organizational Management & Leadership, Financial Literacy, and Packaging Innovation to enhance product competitiveness in the market.

Clean Water Pipeline Aid for Wotan Village

Avian Brands also demonstrated its concern for the welfare of the Wotan Village community through a clean water pipeline aid program that now reaches 60 households or approximately 190 beneficiaries.

Through all these initiatives, Avian Brands reaffirms its commitment to implementing ISO 26000 SR-based Community Development programs, with a focus on improving community welfare, self-reliance, and capacity.
