Surabaya, October 31, 2024 – PT Avia Avian Tbk (“AVIA”) recorded positive performance across various financial indicators throughout 2024. This performance is reflected in the achievement of double-digit third-quarter sales volume, which grew by 12.1% year-on-year, and increased by 14.7% quarter-on-quarter compared to the previous second-quarter period. This sales volume growth was primarily supported by the wall paint segment, which saw double-digit increases year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter. This achievement aligns with AVIA's strategy to continuously strengthen its position in the wall paint segment.
The realization of total consolidated sales up to the nine months of 2024 reached Rp 5.405 trillion. AVIA recorded a positive performance of 4.7% despite challenging economic conditions.
This achievement was also followed by the realization of gross profit reaching Rp 2.405 trillion with a margin of 44.5%, and EBITDA recorded at Rp 1.430 trillion with a margin of 26.5% during the first nine-month period of 2024. Furthermore, in the same period, consolidated net profit was successfully recorded at Rp 1.160 trillion, with a margin of 21.5%.
Supported by a solid research, development, and innovation (RDI) facility and over 80 qualified chemists, AVIA introduced four new products during this year's third-quarter period, including Supersilk Semi Kilap for the premium wall paint segment, No Drop Beton & Batu Alam for the waterproofing coating segment, Avian Non-Sag Epoxy Hemat for the glue/adhesive segment, and GM 385 Perekat Bata Ringan for the instant cement segment. Of these four products, No Drop Beton & Batu Alam has been certified with Green Label Singapore, illustrating AVIA's commitment to continuously develop environmentally friendly products.
This product innovation is part of AVIA's sustainable growth strategy aimed at achieving long-term business growth and strengthening the Company's position as a leader in the decorative paint market in Indonesia. This strategy is also accompanied by consistent expansion of distribution centers to maximize product penetration in the national market.
For information, AVIA currently operates a total of 162 distribution centers, consisting of 123 self-owned distribution centers and 39 third-party distribution centers. Additionally, AVIA is supported by 15 mini distribution centers capable of reaching remote areas of Indonesia. AVIA's distribution network is spread across 38 provinces in Indonesia and serves more than 57,000 building material stores. With this distribution network capability, AVIA offers express delivery services, namely delivery of goods within 2 hours after ordering. This competitive advantage differentiates AVIA from other paint companies and makes AVIA a reliable partner for building material stores in achieving business growth and profitability.
