The Petik Laut activity, or the repainting of fishing boats as a form of support from Avian Brands Peduli for Indonesian fishing communities, has now arrived in South Kalimantan. On May 25, 2023, Avian Brands Peduli repainted 160 fishing boats to enliven the Sea Festival.
The Mappanre Ri’tasie Sea Festival is known by the people of Tanah Bumbu as a traditional Bugis tribal festival passed down through generations as a form of gratitude for abundant marine produce. This Sea Festival event is held every April on Pagatan Beach, Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan.
In an effort to make this event a success, Avian Brands Peduli donated 650 kg of Avian Wood and Iron Paint and 70 Avian Original Thinner B. In addition, Avian Brands also enlivened the Sea Festival event by opening a booth there.
“On behalf of the people of Tanah Bumbu Regency, I would like to thank Avian Brands for their assistance in repainting our citizens' boats to enliven the Mappanre Ri’tasie Sea Festival. Hopefully, with this thanksgiving event, the people of Tanah Bumbu will continue to receive blessings and good income,” said Hasanuddin AM, a member of the Tanah Bumbu Regency Parliament.
The Head of the TANBU Fishermen's KUB Forum, Riduan HS, also expressed his appreciation to Avian Brands. According to him, the assistance provided is very beneficial for the fishing communities in the Tanah Bumbu area.
Avian Brands Peduli, as a platform for Avian Brands' CSR program, has carried out fishing boat repainting activities in several regions throughout Indonesia. The Petik Laut activity, as a program mission for coastal communities, is an idea related to Indonesia's character as an archipelago nation.
In addition to social contributions, Avian Brands Peduli also targets CSR programs related to education and disaster response.
