National Awakening Build 2022 Participants
In commemoration of National Awakening Day and 25 years of service by Habitat for Humanity Indonesia, Avian Brands participated in a habitable home painting activity in 5 regions/site projects that have become development areas for Habitat for Humanity Indonesia with a community-based approach. This series of activities involving hundreds of volunteers was successfully carried out in Sentul, Mauk, Yogyakarta, Gresik, and Kupang.
The painting activity titled “National Awakening Build” took place over a period of one month, starting with the painting of 10 houses at the Sentul Project Site in Kampung Curug, Bojong Koneng Village, on May 13, 2022, and continued with activities on June 11, 2022, simultaneously at 3 different project sites, namely in Kedung Dalem Village-Mauk-Tangerang, Kesamben Kulon Village-Gresik, and Tuksono Village-Yogyakarta. In the activity in Kedung Dalem Village-Mauk, Tangerang, volunteers successfully painted 33 houses; volunteers in Tuksono Village, Yogyakarta, successfully painted 10 houses; and also 10 houses in Kesambenkulon-Wringinanom Village, Gresik. Furthermore, as the closing of the series of volunteer activities titled National Awakening Build, on June 25, 2022, in Oesao Village, East Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, 15 habitable houses belonging to families who survived Tropical Cyclone Seroja were painted.
Avian Brands acted as a sponsor by providing assistance in the form of 1,652 kg of Avitex Interior Wall Paint and Avitex Exterior Wall Paint, Homecare painting tools, and 280 liters of thinner. This assistance was distributed to all areas of the habitable home painting activity for use by the volunteers.

In addition to contributing their energy and time to vulnerable communities assisted in this activity, volunteers also gained many benefits from this activity, including increasing their sense of care for others and expanding their network of fellow volunteers. Several volunteers shared their experiences painting using Avitex Wall Paint, which is easy to apply.

“We are happy to participate in painting residents' houses. We used paint from Avian Brands, which is very easy to apply. The results are also very good and the colors are bright,” said a volunteer.
